Christmas 2013 at Holy Innocents

 

‘… And the word was made flesh, and dwelt among us.’      John 1: 14

This Advent and Christmas there are some beautiful
services at Holy Innocents. Everyone is welcome to come.
The main services are:

 

SUNDAY 22ND DECEMBER

Service of Nine Lessons and Carols at 6.00 pm
This is a traditional Christmas service with favourite carols and lovely singing by our choir.
It lasts for an hour and there will be wine and mince pies afterwards.

CHRISTMAS EVE

‘The Donkey’ :  Our Children’s Nativity Play at 4.00 pm
This is an informal and interactive nativity play, especially for children to enjoy and join in with.
Children are welcome to come dressed up as angels, shepherds or anything else Christmassy!
It is very relaxed and lots of people come. It lasts for about half an hour. There are refreshments afterwards.

 

Midnight Mass at 11.30 pm
This is the traditional First Mass of Christmas. There are carols and holy communion.
At the end we process to the Christmas Crib to bless it and to place the Baby in it.
The Mass lasts an hour.

 

CHRISTMAS DAY

Parish Mass at 10.00 am
At this Mass there are Christmas Carols and special prayers around the Crib.
It lasts an hour.
