steel pans at HI

On Wednesday 14th October 2009, Holy Innocents church once again had a steel pans night to raise money for Hill Crest.

The Girls from Horsey Girls School kindly offered their evening to us and we all had a fun night, with music that had us dancing around, food and drinks to keep us refreshed.

Thanks girls, for helping us to raise £200 for Hillcrest's important work in South Africa.

"I enjoyed playing steel pans at Holy Innocents, also dancing with my friends while playing percussion"
Laura Baird (Year 9 student)

"I'm pleased to do something for people less fortunate than me - it was also great fun!"
Kimberlie Thompson (Year 9 student)

"It's great to know that the money we raised is going to help other people in Africa"
Khisavalu Adams (Year 9 student)

"It's nice to know that because of us, children in African can go to school and have an education"
Erica Koaussi (Year 9 student)

"This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to use their music for a good cause. It's wonderful to see our young musicians performing for charity. I hope we can continue this great partnership with Hill Crest"
Peter Austin (Director of Music, Hornsey School for Girls)
