Welcome to Holy Innocents, Hornsey.
We are the Anglican Parish Church for Hornsey Vale and part of the Church of England.
The congregation of Holy Innocents, like the local community around us, is made up of people whose origins stretch across the world. You can be sure of a warm welcome, but we also respect people's desire for privacy.
Worship
With a long history of worship rooted in the Anglo-Catholic tradition, we follow the modern Roman Rite and aim to make this accessible to all people - whatever their age.
For many people - especially those who commute in to central London - the mass at 10.00am on Sunday is the best time for worship and this includes HI Kids Club for our younger members.
There are also other mass times and events which include Late Night Church if you're interested in doing something during the week. (Please see the news and late night church web pages for more details.)
Whether you are new to the area and wondering where to go to Church or simply interested in finding out more about our Church and Parish, we welcome you to our website and look forward to meeting you in person at Holy Innocents.
A unique relationship with Holy Trinity
This website also introduces you to our sister parish, Holy Trinity, Stroud Green and you'll discover that our priests and people work very closely together.
This relationship appears to be unique. Under the guidance of the Bishop of Edmonton, Father Tim Pike is the incumbent at Holy Innocents, but he's also assistant priest at Holy Trinity. This working relationship strengthens our ties and enables both churches to enjoy mixing with each other for some services, pilgrimages, and social events.
In the same way, Father Patrick Henderson is assistant priest at Holy Innocents and incumbent at Holy Trinity.
A brief history of Holy Innocents
The church dates back to 1876 and we're compiling a history on these pages
